Classes for Everyone

CLASS DESCRIPTION

With no audition required, these classes are meant to build confidence, get experience on stage, and most of all have fun. Everyone registered gets a part suiting their skill level and catering to their strengths. We spend time in class learning Disney's Beauty and the Beast Jr. by practicing movement, spacial awareness, public speaking, singing and dancing. We play acting games to help students feel comfortable expressing themselves and give them the stepping stones to the stage. These classes are for kids that are experiencing the stage for the first time AND kids with a background in theater/singing/dancing. Classes are a non-competitive, low- pressure environment to nurture and learn in. Performing a full production on December 2nd & 3rd on the big stage with costumes provided at the end of the semester is a highlight. Tickets to the final performance are not included in class payment. *The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity. With many fun supporting roles allowing students to play objects inside the castle, this "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costumes, songs and dances.*
