Fairytales | Ages 5 - 6

CLASS DESCRIPTION

Boulder Performing Arts Summer Camps are Monday - Friday, 9AM - 3PM. Choose your favorite fairy, woodland creature, wizard or fairytale to play in this non competitive environment. Everyone will have the opportunity to perform songs and dances. We end our week with a free performance around pickup time on the big stage. Summer camps are focused on fun, creativity, singing, dancing, and acting. Starting on Monday we meet our kids and learn about their skill levels. We play acting games to help our kids get comfortable and aquatinted with the other students. We talk about our weekly show theme and start to figure out the most important parts of the shows with the students. After writing their scripts (to help them learn their lines) we start putting our show together with songs and dances. Simple costumes will be provided. All students will need to pack a water bottle, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack. During our lunch/break time our activity depends on the students energy. We will either watch a G-PG rated movie (usually the one the camp is focused on), draw, play games, or go on a walk outside. Our classrooms have A/C and our students can get a little chilly by the end of the day, please wear/pack light layers! This week is focused on make belief and magic! Dance and act as a fairies, wizards, favorite woodland creatures while making crafts and having fun!
